Contaminated Sites / Remediation Incentives
An important area of concern for businesses and real estate developers is sites that may have contamination, and are considered Brownfields. There may have been a factory at the location years earlier that caused the problem. This issue is usually identified in the sales, negotiation, and financing of real estate.
Since 1998, the Department has implemented a comprehensive, long-range Economic Development Plan that put initiatives into action. Our Department is experienced and knowledgeable in funding and incentives for assessment and the remediation of Brownfield sites. Work with our staff to help you through the maze of agencies, regulations and funding.
