HAMDEN SMALL BUSINESS ACADEMY

Funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the Hamden Small Business Academy (HSBA) is an 11-week entrepreneurship boot camp designed to empower aspiring and new entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge needed to launch a successful business. Offered by the Town of Hamden, in partnership with Next Level Empowerment, this program supports participants through:

Comprehensive Training: Engage in an immersive 11-week program offered during Fall 2024, Spring 2025, Fall 2025, and Winter 2025.
Expert Guidance: Learn from experienced facilitators and business experts and network with supportive peers.
Ongoing Mentorship: Benefit from six months of business mentorship after completing the program.

Eligibility Criteria

To participate, you must:

Be a resident or business owner in Hamden.
Have a specific business idea or recently launched business.
Conduct initial market research and assess product/service costs and target consumers.
